Eleftheria Tseliou gallery is happy to present Ilias Koen’s solo show. The show opens on Thursday, April 23 and will be on display until the 23rd of May 2015.
Ilias Koen’s works, which are geometric drawings of graphite on paper and ceramic sculptures, explore the dynamic of the visual experience. In this visual work the artist records and explores the visual facts and the perceptual mechanisms which process them using as major axes shapes and their connection with form. These drawings, produced traditionally with pencil and ruler, mark the capture of the concept, the exploration of the mechanism of vision but also consist of phases of the process of production of sculptural forms. Focusing on these fundamental values of visual arts but also of science and philosophy, Ilias Koen's work explores the connection between shape, form and space.
