Vassilis Gerodimos

The works of Gerodimos are the result of a dialectic that deals with the fragment of an object, a part of a whole that carries a story, a whole world or a sole dimension that can become the actual theme allowing past, present and future to enter an oscillatory relationship.
Gerodimos creates syntheses from entirely autonomous sculptures that end up comprising a homogenous landscape. His interest in the relationship between the fragment and the whole, as well as in the associations that derive from this relationship, form a body of new readings.
In the gallery space, Gerodimos presents installations that aim to specify the forms, forms that are whole, elliptical, archetypal, archaic, futuristic or even less referential. Elements that seem to be incompatible at first get combined in this show, in ways that form new spaces for seeing and thinking.
